The ND Roadster (hereinafter ND) is now on sale as the first of the new body reinforcement parts "Motion Control Beam (hereinafter MCB)".Thanks to you, we have received inquiries from users of other car models at events, etc., asking "When will my car be available?"

Development progress information ②The development for the second Axela (BM) / Atenza (GJ) / CX-2 (KF / KE) / CX-5 (KG) announced in the above has reached the final stage.

ND is the FR layout of the front midship (the engine is between the front axle and the driver's seat).On the other hand, the five models set this time are basically orthodox FF layouts.
Compared to ND, both models have a larger body size and longer front and rear overhangs, so the force to twist at the end of the body is greater.
Especially on the front side, heavy objects such as engines / transmissions are concentrated, and the mounting position is also on the front side of the front wheel axle, so the effect is remarkable.Among them, diesel / gasoline turbo engine vehicles are heavy even in the same model lineup, so the increase in torsional rigidity by MCB works more effectively.

By the way, the MCB is installed at the front and rear ends of the chassis side frame.Since the basic platform of the vehicle set this time is common to all vehicles, the mounting position and bracket can be standardized.
Actually, there were cases where the layout of auxiliary equipment changed depending on the type of engine, and the position of the stay differed depending on the shape of the rear bumper, but we will overcome these problems and move on to mass production.
