① Output & torque characteristics
The aim is the best output characteristics on the street.
First, in order to improve the exhaust efficiency, the internal structure of the silencer was changed from a partition type to a straight structure.Also, it is important to select the main pipe diameter.
If the pipe diameter is increased, the output in the high rpm range will increase, but the output in the low to medium speed range (normal range) will tend to decrease.As a result, the low-speed torque becomes squishy, ​​and it becomes a characteristic that is very difficult to ride on the street where the normal range is heavily used.
On the other hand, if you make it thinner than mass production, it will be clogged in the middle and high rpm range, although it is good in the low speed range (it may not be common in tuning mufflers).Therefore, it is necessary to make the pipe diameter appropriate, not too thick and not too thin, so that it can be maximized in the regular area that is frequently used on the street.
By the way, the graph is a comparison with mass production.The output characteristics are almost the same as mass production, and you can see that the torque in the normal range is exceeded.

② Sound tuning
Even if the muffler is replaced, it is difficult to see the change in sound, but I think we were able to tune it to a light sound that makes it fun to step on the accelerator pedal.

In order to make a retrofit muffler for tuning a legal product, it is necessary to take a pre-approval test, the so-called "acceleration noise test", for each model (strictly speaking, when the specifications such as engine model and output change). Hmm.This time, we took the conventional and new models that were sold until February 30 and made them compatible with all diesel vehicles.
