The only sample photos available were for the CX-60, so I was worried whether it would match the MX-30, but it fitted without any discomfort.
In conventional shift knobs, the pin on the back is close to the air conditioning panel, so I was worried that I wouldn't be able to remove it exactly as shown in the CX-60 and AutoExe videos. However, by looking in the mirror and using a pair of sturdy tweezers with bent tips, I was able to successfully hook it and remove it.
To move the shift lever, you have to push it in properly, but I like it more because it looks more stylish.
