I installed Mazdaspeed aero, BBS wheels, and coilovers, and I thought I'd like to work on the intake and exhaust system next, so I chose a sports induction box that allows me to use the original box.
I thought that if I wanted to change the sound, I would have to change the muffler, but I thought that if I changed the air cleaner before doing the exhaust, I wouldn't run out of breath and the smooth intake would be good for the engine, so I installed a sports induction box. .

I replaced the sports induction box as a preparatory step for installing a muffler rather than changing the sound, but it changes the sound surprisingly.
The bass becomes thicker between 2000 and 4000 rpm, and I find myself pressing into it because I want to hear the sound.
However, in the high rotation range from 4000rpm onwards, the bass is suppressed and the unique rotary engine sound comes out.
The current balance is good and the sound is good, so I'm satisfied without installing a muffler.
As for driving, I think the response has improved.
In particular, when you press the accelerator during deceleration, the engine revs up nicely.
There is only a change in the sound, but I can't get enough of the red box that stands out when you open the engine compartment.
