I happened to discover a part called a motion control beam (laughs), and I had to try it ^^;

The parts already installed are the strut tower bar, floor cross bar, lower arm bar, center floor bar, and sports stabilizer.

In addition, although it is a 16-inch wheel normally, the feeling of pushing up has become stronger due to the above reinforcement, so I dared to reduce it to 15 inches especially to improve the ride quality of the passenger, and the tire is 5/195 / of Le Mans 65. I set it to 15. This is one size wider than a simple inch down. Of course, I passed the vehicle inspection and I am satisfied with both ride quality and steering stability.

So, even with the above specifications, I'm really worried about handling when cornering, especially unintentional swinging back when turning back.
This is a characteristic that is almost unnoticeable in gasoline models (especially in cars equipped with GVC), so it is probably due to the fact that the diesel engine is 100 kg heavier.

The motion control beam is a part that is installed near the back of the front and rear bumpers for the purpose of increasing rigidity and suppressing slight vibration, but I think that it is not a kind of part that exerts a dramatic effect.
However, there will definitely be changes in the behavior of the car body. The i-DM score will also change before and after mounting.
Specifically, there is a feeling that the steering is firm when cornering, and the feeling of rigidity is certainly improved. Also, even when going straight, it seems that slight vibration is suppressed even a little, and the vehicle class is slightly improved. It feels like the ride has a softened corner.
It seems that this kind of change in ride quality (ride quality) is felt not only by the driver but also by the passengers. I heard your impressions before, but it was almost the same as my first impression.

Even with a short wheelbase like the Demio and a short overhang, you can feel the effect, so you may feel it more clearly on larger models such as the CX-5.
It is unclear how effective the motion control beam alone can be, but in terms of making it easier for the damper to work properly, I think it is more effective to use it together with the strut tower bar or floor crossbar. Especially for the front heavy diesel model.

Even with a good number of body reinforcement parts installed as described above, the only thing you notice at a glance is the center floor bar of the rear seats. Not only the effective performance, but I also like this kind of humor (laughs).
